I chuckle every time I see or hear Tosh Ryan's name, as my mate was drummer in a glam punk band called Alien Tint in 1979 which briefly got a slating from Mick Middles in Sounds, but were great. I can still remember the first time my local indepentent radio station played a side 2 of of Unknown Pleasures- my first hearing of Joy Division.
