rumour has it that although hannett scared these stalwart young lads quite a bit, their collaboration was successful enough that he was hired on to twiddle the knobs for their first proper album, boy.   the rumour goes on that hannett pulled out of the session at the news of the death of ian curtis.   if anyone has any further detail on this, please get in touch with me.   denials of the rumour are as good as confirmations, i just need your truth.   ta.
